Northwest Association of Environmental Professionals

Welcome to NWAEP

The Northwest Association of Environmental Professionals (NWAEP) was founded in 1992 and became an official affiliated chapter of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP) in 2005. We are a nonpolitical interdisciplinary organization made up of professionals in Washington and Oregon. Our members include a wide range of environmental professions: environmental management, planning, impact assessment, environmental protection, compliance, research, engineering, design, and education.

NWAEP Diversity Scholarship

We're thrilled to announce our first annual Diversity in the Environmental Professions Scholarship!

If you — or someone you know — is a student who is from a diverse background or is otherwise underrepresented in environmental fields (especially BIPOC), who would like to expand their professional development by attending the 2022 NAEP Annual Conference, we encourage you to apply! This scholarship will provide up to $2,000 for conference expenses like registration, travel, and room and board.  The deadline to apply is January 28.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Our chapter’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee, who has been working to better serve diverse and underrepresented communities, is proud to unveil NWAEP's new Statement of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to All.

NWAEP Board Election

NWAEP recently held its annual vote to elect new members to its Board of Directors. Congratulations to Jenifer Corpuz, Shawn Fackler, Rymn Parsons, Lindsey Sheehan and Tim Sturtz!
