Please join us for this Lunch & Learn event happening in Seattle on August 23, hosted in coordination with Sustainable Path. Sameer Ranade from the Washington Environmental Council, will present information on the statewide carbon reduction/climate resiliency investment policy being developed by a broad and diverse Washington based coalition called the Alliance for Jobs and Clean Energy.

The Alliance will file a statewide ballot initiative in Washington 2018 if that’s what it takes to get it its policy proposal enacted. The Alliance consists of over 170+ organizations spanning labor unions, communities of color, low-income advocates, environmental and public health groups, people of faith, businesses, farmers, and women and families, including the Washington Environmental Council. Sameer will explain the significance of the coalition, describe the Alliance policy and climate policy process in detail, and provide opportunities for interested people to engage.  There will also be time for Q&A.
