Stantec is seeking an experienced sediment practitioner with strong technical experience to lead high-profile contaminated sediment projects in the Pacific Northwest and support similar projects throughout North America. The primary project work is based in Oregon and Washington, and the position will be based in our Portland, OR office. We seek a technically proficient individual with demonstrated experience successfully addressing the investigation, remediation, and restoration of contaminated sediment sites, using best practices and emerging technologies.
A successful candidate must be able to write and convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner; and oversee and work productively with junior technical staff and subcontractors while assuring work scopes and safety requirements are met. Excellent communication, organization and prioritization skills will be necessary to work in our collaborative team-oriented offices; strong interpersonal skills are a must. The individual should have a relevant technical background in site investigation and remediation of contaminated sediments of marine/coastal and/or freshwater aquatic systems and experience in planning and managing sediment projects. The successful candidate will also have opportunity to work with Stantec’s other Pacific Northwest disciplines on assessment/cleanup projects including our award-winning Asset Transformation and Brownfields team, our Water Delivery and Conveyance team, our Power and Dams team, our Community Development team, and our Natural Resources team.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
